About Somerset Sourdough
I started making sourdough during lockdown and haven’t looked back since. Attending other workshops on sourdough production inspired me to take the best parts from these and deliver an educational, entertaining and great value course for sourdough fans.

Organic Sourdough
We only use organic flour, a carefully cultured starter, pure salt and filtered water.

Try Our Bread
The sessions run from mid-morning, over lunch and into mid-afternoon. We encourage guests to bring something to go with a few slices of our fresh sourdough for lunch.

Requests Accomodated
Where possible, we are happy to tailor aspects of the course to your needs. From accessibility requirements to variations on our recipes – we’re happy to help!

Taste our bread on the day, take home your own loaf and starter – so you can get baking the next day!
We provide printed instructions and recipe information, as well as guiding you through the process of making a starter and a sourdough loaf from scratch.

Flexible Bookings
Individuals, Groups Bookings and Gift Cards
We cater for bookings of all sizes. Join as an individual, or book in as a group of up to 6 at our main location. For larger bookings, or bespoke events – such as at your own premises – get in touch, we’re open to ideas.
You can also purchase gift cards, which are valid for one year.
Courses are from £75 per person.
Brown
Our most popular loaves are a blend of organic white, brown and rye flour. Learn why wholegrain wheat and other flours are better for your health than plain white flour.
White
White sourdough loaves are visually stunning, light to eat, but less nutritious than other blends of flour. Learn how to make a variety of different sourdough recipes in one session.
Speciality
Variety is the spice of life, and so we talk through a range of additions you can make to your sourdough – from nuts and seeds, to olives and tomatoes – let your creativity flow!
